Coconut Milk Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- (You can replace this with more coconut milk for a richer coconut flavor.)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- (Adjust the amount to suit your preferred sweetness.)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch (to thicken the mixture)
- 1/2 cup grated coconut (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine the ingredients
In a saucepan, whisk together:
- Coconut milk
- Whole milk (or extra coconut milk)
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Sugar
- Cornstarch
Mix until the cornstarch and sugar are fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth with no lumps.
2. Cook the mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook while stirring constantly to prevent lumps and sticking. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.

3. Add coconut and flavor
Once thickened, stir in the grated coconut and vanilla extract (if using). Mix well so the coconut is evenly distributed.
4. Pour and chill
Pour the hot mixture into small dessert cups or bowls. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until fully set and firm.
5. Garnish and serve
Before serving, sprinkle extra grated or shredded coconut on top for decoration and added texture. Serve chilled.
