3. Add the Eggs and Vanilla

Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition so everything blends evenly. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4. Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture in batches, alternating with the milk. Start with the dry ingredients and finish with the dry ingredients. Mix gently until the batter is just combined, being careful not to overmix.

6. Fill the Pans and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan or pans and spread it evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Cool the Cake

Let the cake rest in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before serving.

Serving Idea

Enjoy this moist vanilla butter cake on its own, or top it with your favorite frosting, fresh fruit, or a light dusting of powdered sugar.
