BUTTERFINGER BALLS

Butterfinger Peanut Butter Balls

These no-bake Butterfinger peanut butter balls are rich, chocolatey, and packed with crunch. Perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime you’re craving an easy peanut butter and chocolate treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (avoid fully natural varieties that separate)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (½ stick)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars
  • 8 ounces chocolate bark or chocolate chips (for coating)
  • Optional garnish: extra crushed Butterfingers, holiday sprinkles, or coarse/flaky sea salt

Instructions

Make the Peanut Butter Filling

  1. Beat peanut butter and butter
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and softened butter. Using an electric hand mixer on medium speed (or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment), beat until smooth and fully combined.

  2. Add vanilla
Pour in the vanilla extract and mix again until evenly incorporated.

  3. Mix in powdered sugar
Gradually add the powdered sugar in several additions, mixing on low speed after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed so everything is well blended and forms a thick dough.

  4. Stir in dry mix-ins
Gently fold in the graham cracker crumbs and crushed Butterfinger pieces until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Shape the Balls

  1. Portion the dough
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out about 1 to 1½ tablespoons of the mixture for each ball.

  2. Roll into balls
Roll each portion between your palms until smooth and round, then place them back onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

  3. Chill
Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and chill the peanut butter balls for about 30 minutes, or until firm. This helps them hold their shape when dipped in chocolate.

Melt the Chocolate

  1. Melt chocolate carefully
Place the chocolate bark or chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at 50% power in 30-second increments, stirring after each interval.
Stop heating when a few small chunks remain, then stir until fully melted and smooth. This prevents overheating and burning the chocolate.

Dip and Decorate

  1. Coat the peanut butter balls
Remove the chilled balls from the freezer. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted chocolate. You can fully coat them or leave a bit of the peanut butter mixture exposed at the top for a two-tone look. Let any excess chocolate drip off.

  2. Add toppings
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle each ball with extra crushed Butterfingers, holiday sprinkles, or a pinch of coarse or flaky sea salt.

  3. Set and serve
Place the coated balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Once firm, transfer to an airtight container and enjoy!
