Barron Trump Praised for Polite Handshake with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris After Inauguration
Barron Trump was spotted shaking hands with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris shortly after his father, Donald Trump, was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.

Just minutes earlier, Donald Trump, aged 78, had taken the presidential oath at the US Capitol on January 20. The ceremony was administered by Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court.
Standing with his right hand raised, Trump recited the oath while his wife, Melania Trump, stood beside him. She held two significant Bibles: one reportedly given to him by his mother and the other the historic Lincoln Bible, famously used by Abraham Lincoln during his 1861 inauguration.

Ahead of the formal proceedings, members of the Trump family entered the Capitol Rotunda and took their seats for the inauguration. Among those present were his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., along with his daughter Ivanka Trump.
Yet it was the youngest member of the family, Barron Trump, who drew particular public attention for his demeanor.
Barron Trump’s Courteous Greeting to Biden and Harris
Following Donald Trump’s swearing-in, cameras captured Barron approaching then-outgoing President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris. He extended his hand to each of them in turn, offering a polite handshake.
According to lip reader Jeremy Freeman, the 18-year-old greeted Biden with the words, “G’day to you, sir,” before turning to Kamala Harris and saying, “Ma’am, good day.”

Footage of Barron’s respectful behavior quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter), where users widely commended him for his composure and manners, as reported by the Irish Star.
